Calculette PhosphoBio
The PhosphoBio calculator is a tool in the form of an Excel workbook that allows the calculation of phosphorus and potassium balances at the rotation level in order to help farmers and their advisors identify practices leading to the storage or removal of P and K from the soil. It inclues organic farming references acquired during the PhosphoBio project:
- P and K contents of grains and straw of the main crops
- Composition of the main fertilizers usable in organic farming for calculating phosphorus and potassium balances
- Relationships between changes in soil Olsen P2O5 and exchangeable K2O content and phosphorus or potassium balances, allowing for the estimation of probable changes in soil P and K contents based on fertilization practices
- Olsen P2O5 content thresholds adapted to organic farming to which soil P content measured at the beginning of the rotation and estimated at the end of the rotation are comparated in order to provide fertilization advice
